Rheumatoid Arthritis Clinical Study Details

Have you had a poor response or intolerance to at least one traditional DMARD (such as methotrexate) AND one biologic or targeted DMARD?

Have you been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) by a healthcare provider?

Do you currently have active inflammation in at least one hand or wrist joint, confirmed by MRI?

Do you currently have moderate to severe RA with at least 6 swollen and 6 tender joints?

Have you had a heart attack, stroke, or serious heart condition in the past 12 months?

Have you tested positive for HIV, Hepatitis B or C, or active tuberculosis?

Do you have Class IV (severe) RA or any other major autoimmune or inflammatory disease besides RA (like lupus, psoriatic arthritis, or scleroderma)?

Was your RA diagnosed at least 3 months ago?

Am I eligible by age and general health?

Yes, if you are 18 years or older and have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 40 kg/m².

What kind of RA do I need to have?

You must have had adult-onset RA for at least 3 months, with moderate to severe activity—at least 6 swollen and 6 tender joints—at both screening and the start of the study.

Do I need any specific test results to qualify?

Yes. You must have: • Elevated inflammation (hsCRP above normal) • MRI showing active joint inflammation in your hands or wrists • Positive RA-related blood tests (like rheumatoid factor or anti-CCP), or past X-rays showing bone damage

What prior treatments must I have tried?

You must have previously used and not responded to, or couldn’t tolerate, at least one conventional RA drug (like methotrexate or hydroxychloroquine) and one biologic or targeted synthetic DMARD.

What about vaccines or other health requirements?

Your routine vaccinations (flu, COVID-19, shingles, pneumonia) should be up to date. Your lab tests must show normal or acceptable levels for blood counts, liver, and kidney function.

What else is expected of me?

You must give informed consent, be able to attend study visits, and follow all protocol instructions. Women of childbearing potential must follow specific birth control requirements.
