Who can join this study?

Adults between 18 and 75 years old who have had focal epilepsy for at least one year and are currently experiencing at least 4 seizures per month may be eligible.

What kind of epilepsy qualifies?

You must have focal onset seizures, including focal aware, focal impaired awareness, or focal to bilateral tonic-clonic seizures, and meet the definition of drug-resistant epilepsy.

What medications or treatments can I be on?

You must be on a stable dose of 1 to 3 anti-seizure medications (ASMs) for at least 1 month before screening. Devices like VNS, DBS, or RNS and therapies like epilepsy diets or medical marijuana are allowed if they’ve been stable.

Do I need any recent tests or records?

Yes. You’ll need recent EEG, MRI or CT scans, and a record of your seizure history. If not available, these can be done during screening.

Are there health or lifestyle requirements?

You must weigh at least 40 kg (about 88 lbs), have a BMI under 35, be able to swallow tablets whole, and follow study instructions, including using a digital seizure diary daily.
