Obesity / Heart Failure Clinical Study Details

Who can participate in this study?

Adults aged 18 or older (or the legal adult age in your country) with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher and a diagnosis of heart failure (NYHA Class II–IV) for at least 30 days may be eligible.

What heart function levels are required?

You’ll need to have a left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) above 40% documented within the past year—or measured during the screening if not already available.

Do I need to have stable treatment before joining?

Yes. Your heart failure treatment (medications, etc.) must be stable for at least 14 days before the screening, based on your doctor’s judgment.

Are there any blood test or imaging requirements?

Yes. You must have an elevated NT-proBNP level (a marker of heart strain), and at least one of the following: heart structure abnormalities on echocardiogram, a recent hospitalization for heart failure, or signs of elevated heart pressure.

What if I also have Type 2 Diabetes?

You may still qualify if your diabetes is well-managed with diet, exercise, or stable medications/insulin for at least 30 days before enrollment.

What is required to start the study?

You must provide written informed consent before any study activities begin and meet all the eligibility criteria confirmed by the study team.
